A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Dr Kojo Sam, has pledged to mobilise support across Bayelsa East Senatorial District for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Kojo Sam made the pledge when he hosted the Bayelsa State APC Chairman, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, and members of the State Working Committee during a consultative visit to his country home in Okpoama, Brass Local Government Area.
The businessman and philanthropist said his support for Tinubu and the APC remained unwavering, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory in Bayelsa East in the next presidential election.
He said his relationship with the APC dated back to the party’s formation in 2013 and was driven by his belief in its ideals and vision for improving the lives of Nigerians.
Kojo Sam also commended Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying the policies were beginning to stabilise key macroeconomic indicators.
He dismissed the prospects of opposition parties gaining significant ground in Bayelsa East, particularly in Nembe and Brass, insisting that the people of the area were behind Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“I have the privilege of hosting the APC Bayelsa State Executive Committee at my country home in Okpoama, Brass. We had a productive and frank discussion on the future of the party in Bayelsa, strengthening our structures and promoting unity,” he said.
“I want to assure the party that in 2027, President Bola Tinubu will coast to victory in Bayelsa East.”
Kojo Sam also commended Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri for what he described as his peaceful and inclusive leadership, which he said had strengthened the APC at the grassroots.
He equally praised Ogoriba for his handling of the party’s affairs, saying the leadership style had given members a greater sense of belonging.
Earlier, Ogoriba described Kojo Sam as a critical stakeholder whose contributions and sacrifices had supported the APC’s electoral fortunes in the state.
He said the visit was aimed at appreciating Kojo Sam for his commitment to the party and consulting with him on efforts to strengthen the APC’s grassroots structures and promote unity among stakeholders.
The APC chairman expressed confidence in Kojo Sam’s capacity to galvanise support for Tinubu’s re-election across Bayelsa East, adding that the party leadership was focused on consolidating its structures ahead of the 2027 polls.
