The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, has praised the State Task Force on Primary Healthcare for its dedication and outstanding commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery across the state. Prof. Odu, who serves as the Chairman of the Task Force, expressed her appreciation during the 2026 Second Quarter Review Meeting of the Task Force.
Addressing the stakeholders, the Deputy Governor highlighted the critical role primary healthcare plays as the foundation of a healthy society. She acknowledged the significant milestones achieved by the task force in improving immunization coverage, maternal and child health services, and the overall quality of care in rural and urban communities. The Deputy Governor also reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Rivers State Government, under the current administration, to prioritize health infrastructure and human capital development.
